Since we are in the month of Aries, and since I was discussing compatibility with one of my friends yesterday, I thought I would do a little compatibility guide for Aries. Think of Aries as the oldest child who completely acts like they are the youngest. So this is how to get along with an Aries if you are a(n)…

Aries – Aries don’t often seek out or befriend other Aries. There is an element missing in this relationship that keeps the relationship together. Both people are self-centered* and adventure-seeking. With both people on the go, they have to be going in the same direction to stay together. They easily and abruptly drift apart without minding or even noticing. Definitely not a good romantic match up especially in bed.

Taurus – You are an anchor for Aries when they need support. Taurus born people can teach Aries a lot when it comes to enjoying life while standing still, sitting down, lying there. Even when Aries is sitting, their minds and eyes are on the go. Both signs are very present and can enjoy each others’ company when savoring life in the moment. The two are only compatible romantically in the long term when Venus and Mars signs are in harmony.

Gemini – An exciting match, Geminis enjoy Aries passion for their interests. Aries likes having such an adaptable companion who is game for whatever new thing Aries wants to try. If the Aries is not a good communicator, the relationship will likely fizzle. Gemini has needs, too. This normally easy-going sign doesn’t put up with a friend who can’t provide that need.

Cancer – Unless somehow Cancer has a lot of Masculine signs elsewhere or Aries is quite Feminine, this is not a match that would even happen. They repel each other like two magnets of the same polarity. They are both like to stay active but in very different capacities. Cancer is a homebody, and Aries gets cabin fever really easily. They are in no way a good match in bed. Cancer would be extremely put off by Aries’ acrobatics and race to the finish.

Leo – A great platonic match! They are partners in crime when it comes to being the center of attention. When they like each other, this friendship can last. When they don’t like each other, they make perfect enemies, being equally competitive and good at it. They have compatibly relationship styles, but it can be quite a chaotic, on-and-off again relationship, but it works for this energetic pair.

Virgo – This is the unlikely pair that could. The two most sexual signs of the zodiac, they make great fuck buddies. As long as Virgo has a tough skin, they make great friends with benefits. If Virgo is of the sensitive variety, Aries will be too insensitive and hurtful for Virgo to handle. Virgo is quite accommodating and supportive allowing Aries the space needed for whatever they need to do on their own. When the two come together (he he he), there is a good balance of similarities and differences that make them a great match.

Libra – Aries’ polar opposite. Probably the worst polarity match. Imagine Aries as a target. Libra is the one swinging from above trying to land on the target and missing every time. Libra may become enthralled with Aries ability to be the target, and they enjoy trying to land on it, but Aries can become easily bored with Libra. On the flip side, Libra can easily become frustrated with Aries’ immaturity, while Aries may admire Libra for their worldliness. Either way, they are never on the same page, and if they were for a moment, they would be too self-involved to realize and continue to jump to a new and different page.

Scorpio – This is a great match in bed if Scorpio enjoys the rough and tumble kind of sex Aries will do no matter what and if Aries is sensual enough to provide the emotional connection Scorpio needs to really enjoy the other stuff. Friends? I don’t think so. Only if they were best friends. These two are not friends of convenience or acquaintances. These intense personalities will only be friends if they connect on a deeper level.

Sagittarius – Aries’ best friend. These two just get each other. They both love that this friendship is so easy. When things are not easy between these two, both are very aware and have trouble dealing with it. If both have enough communicator signs in their charts, this is a great match all around being life long partners. If there is any kind of deception, secrecy, or manipulation, it is easily felt by the other, and what could have been great is pretty much doomed. Aries is a fool to not do everything to keep their best friend around. But that’s just Aries for you.

Capricorn – The only type of partner you would want Aries for is a business partner. Otherwise, you two do not have anything to really offer each other in terms of friendship or intimacy. You are both go-getters and extremely ambitious. Aries is better at making connections and bringing the business in. You are better at maintaining the business side of things. As sexy as you may find each other, try not to mix business with pleasure. Neither of you are grounded enough to make that work.

Aquarius – This can be a really good match in any capacity. You both enjoy learning, doing, and traveling but in very different ways. Your differences actually compliment each other and can enhance each other as well. This is the type of friendship both people want to work at and maintain. It is not as easy as the Aries-Sagittarius one, but because it is not as easy, it is not as volatile when things go wrong either. This is a great match that will make both people grow spiritually and intellectually.

Pisces – There is something demented that draws these two signs to each other. The most sensitive sign of the zodiac with the most insensitive? I don’t think so. Because Pisces can have a lot of Aries in their chart and vice versa, the two often do pair up. No matter how Masculine the Pisces may be, it is not enough to handle Aries. They can be a good, fun temporary fling that Pisces will write about later about how much of an asshole Aries was, but in the long run, no…just no.

*In Astrology, when the term self-centered is used, it does not carry negative connotations. It does not mean selfish, egotistic, or narcissistic. If I wanted to say those things, I would. Self-centered just means your focus is yourself. About half the world has self-centered charts meaning they are in this life for themselves, for self-fulfillment, to find themselves as opposed to being in this life for the world, to help others, to make an impact. You can obviously do both. There is always a spectrum.
