Nonfictional Pairs Horoscopes

Instead of compatibility horoscopes for Gemini, I’ve decided instead to go with the Gemini theme of twins…or rather pairs…but really couples…not necessarily romantic couples. So which pair in history matches each sign? (Note that I’m doing this based on the dynamic and nature of the relationship as opposed to the Sun signs of the people in the pair. The latter just doesn’t work here.)

(Yes, the title implies there will be a fictional one later.)

Aries – Lewis and Clark. Both were Leos, but their great journey into the west was quite daring and lucrative. For them it was uncharted territory. How very Aries.

Taurus – Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire (a Taurus!). This graceful pair would of course fall under the sign I most associate with the art of dance. Though they represent the elite, they seem like pretty down-to-earth people, don’t you think?

Gemini – Siegfried (a Gemini!) and Roy. These two are quite an entertaining duo. You should watch Father of the Pride. All of you. Trust me. Just trust me.

Cancer – Ben and Jerry. Both are Pisces. Whatever. Don’t argue. Just eat your Chubby Hubby.

Leo – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Neither of them are Leos, but their relationship kind of takes on a life of its own, and that life might as well have been born under the “look at me!” sign that is Leo.

Virgo – Johnny Cash and June Carter. Both were Water signs, but it takes the stability of an Earth sign to spend the rest of your life with someone especially from such a rocky start. They also had a working relationship, which is quite characteristic of Virgo.

Libra – John Lennon (a Libra!) and Paul McCartney. It was great while it lasted. This pair made some of the most influential music in history. Unfortunately, once they each found another pair to be a part of, they went their separate ways.

Scorpio – Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. A relationship between a Leo and Pisces would best be described by the sign of Scorpio: intense. A Scorpio duo does not play by the rules, nor does it make any up. It’s the only way to create pure genius.

Sagittarius – Cheech and Chong. I don’t need to say why.

Capricorn – Sonny and Cher. Both were Air signs, but this short-lived relationship of the unlikely pair made every bit of sense while it lasted in retrospect. The world could not exist without their duet of “I Got You, Babe.”

Aquarius – Bonnie and Clyde. I don’t know why. I just feel like they belong under Aquarius. Not everything I do will come with explanation. I’m not a Libra.

Pisces – Henry Miller and Anais Nin (a Pisces!). A big chunk of their love life was in letters. Much of this fascinating story has to be filled in by hearsay and imagination. Nin could have very well been a Pisces poster child.
