Now that summer has officially begun, let’s look at various summer activities by the sign that describes them best.

Aries – Probably due to our childhood days where summer vacations were a great time to reinvent yourself, we still take summers to do something we’ve never done before. Call it extreme vacationing. Think base jumping in a foreign land.

Taurus – Wedding season is in full swing now. If only we could all spend our summer Wedding Crashers style…minus getting punched in the face by Bradley Cooper. Although I wouldn’t mind him doing other things to me…

Gemini – Road trips are great for people who enjoy seeing different places in addition to sitting in a car for hours with a friend who may be sleeping or singing show tunes with you.

Cancer – Beach time! Duh. Plop yourself down under a nice, big, colourful umbrella, listen to the waves, smell the ocean, and squish some sand between your toes. Aaahhhhh. This is what summer is truly about.

Leo – PRIDE events. Get it? Lion? Pride?

Virgo – You know those summer reading assignments? Actually getting them done? That is such a Virgo thing to do. Nerd alert!

Libra – Studying abroad during the summer is a fun and smart way to spend this time between semesters by knocking out some credits while doing some traveling.

Scorpio – It seems like a waste of summer to spend it indoors, but what choice do you have when so many awesome movies are released especially during July 4^th weekend? That’s just rude.

Sagittarius – Music, music, music! Summer time has some great festivals and outdoor concert series. I’m very jealous of my Sag biffle going to the Firefly Festival this summer and seeing the Killers, who will most likely be playing new music off of their upcoming album. Did I say very? I meant extremely.

Capricorn – Summer jobs are still a rite of passage even if it is more and more common for students to work all year. It is not a summer wasted. Work can be fulfilling, and you still have your days off to enjoy the weather.

Aquarius – Normally Aquarius would be the last sign in line to which I would relate food, but in this case BBQs and outdoor grilling and picnics are such a social thing. They are excuses to get groups of friends together and relax.

Pisces – “Summer lovin’ had me a blast.” Yeah, summer nights and summer romances….They are especially Pisces if they really only happen in your head.
